Debt Negotiation

Debt Solution for Tax ProblemsThe Internal Revenue Service is a super-creditor which is empowered with super status as a collector. Many normal legal rights and protections enjoyed by U.S. citizens do not apply to the IRS. In the course of dealing with IRS collectors, the normal range of options must be expanded to find a viable solution for dealing with tax debt problems. Many former IRS employees and law firms specializing in federal taxes are the primary source for expert assistance dealing with tax levees and seizures. Taxpayers who retain expert help and timely contest disputed claims almost always receive settlement offers. Alternatively, taxpayers who fail to respond or offer insufficient responses commonly are the victims of assumptions supporting the worst case scenario. The best option is clear: respond early with expert help, while the widest range of remedies remains on the negotiation table. State TaxesThe Secretary of State (in most states) retains administrative power over tax assessors. For the most part, state income taxes are based upon federally reported income. Just as importantly, property taxes rank within the top two highest state taxes paid by most homeowners, and are far easier to negotiate. Disputing property taxes is a fairly simple solution - Contest the appraisal and demand a hearing. Many appraisal districts offer an almost standardized reduction in appraised value. Additionally, any homeowner who is willing to argue for dispute solution and reduction, based upon a recent bona fide appraisal, will likely receive a larger reduction in tax liability. Many homeowners routinely file disputes each year in response to tax rate increases each year. Over time, the acti9ve homeowners achieve a substantial discount with little effort. |
